Values & Purpose: Clearing Exercise
Why is it so difficult to know what our life purpose is? A big reason is probably the amount of noise or interference that comes from all our cultural programming.
That’s why in this exercise, the goal is simply to clear some of that noise, which will make the next exercises more effective.
Exercise
- “If I had unlimited money, I would…”
- Write about everything that comes to mind, until you feel complete.
- “These accomplishments would give me all the approval I want and shut everyone up (including me)…”
- Write everything that comes to mind.
- You don’t need to come to any conclusions here, the goal is simply to get all the “noise” onto the page.
