Part 2: Peace With Yourself · Lesson 7 of 38

Introduction to Part 2

Welcome to Part 2. The exercises in this part of the course are about finding peace with yourself.

Unfortunately, it’s very common for people to have a noisy, unpleasant inner life. Most people experience negative self talk, compare themselves unfavorably to others, feel like they are never good enough and always behind in some way or another and generally put a lot of pressure on themselves.

I know this from experience - I used to suffer from all of the above and more. Through my work with people, I’ve also found that this is a common cause of suffering for many.

And I’m happy to tell you that all this inner stress and pressure is both unnecessary and optional.

It’s unnecessary because when you stop beating yourself up about everything and stop putting all this pressure on yourself, you’ll find that nothing goes lost. You don’t become lazy, your performance doesn’t get worse, you don’t become less ambitious…

And it’s optional because while it might seem impossible to shut up all the mental noise, exercises like the ones we’re about to do change that very quickly.
