Problems in the Present

This is a great exercise to use any time you feel worried or stressed with a current problem in your life.

Exercise

  • Describe a current problem you are struggling with or worried about.
    • If there is a strong emotional charge, use free flow writing to express everything that wants to be expressed about it.
  • List: everything about this problem that is in the past and therefore can’t be changed anymore.
  • List: everything about this problem that is in the future and therefore hasn’t happened yet.
  • What part of this problem is right here, right now?
  • What is there to do, right here, right now?
