Lesson 3 of 7
Gratitude
Notes:
- There’s a lot of suffering out there in the world. Lots of people are in more pain, worse issues and closer to death than me.
- Yes, what happened to me is bad and annoying and painful… and it could be worse.
- Part of you argues against the “could be worse” argument and justifiably so.
- But the alternatives could be true AND you can still be grateful that things aren’t worse. Gratitude is a choice.
- The broader aspects of life: “I’m grateful that hospitals exists, that there is healthcare, that I am being taken care of. That I don’t have to suffer the full brunt of the pain and potentially even die from an infection or something.”
- Take nothing for granted, because taking anything for granted is a form of delusion.
